Local Hero Saves Life of Teenager


Seneca Police Officer Staff Sergeant Ross Ragsdale saves the life of a young teenager at The El Alazan Mexican Restaurant. The boy came into the restaurant for lunch when he started choking. Luckily, A group of Seneca's police officers were there at the time of the incident. Staff Sergeant Ragsdale performed the Heimlich maneuver to save the boy's life and escorted him to the bathroom to ensure he was okay.



Community Outreach: ARC of Oconee, Inc.


Sgt. Dwayne Kelley, Capt. Robert Tribble, Lt. Lisa L Williams, and Cpl. James Dickert visited, “Our Place” to give back to the community. The Officers who went on the outing reported having a wonderful time with some amazing people. In the words of Lt. Lisa L Williams, “I grabbed several of our SPD guys and we went to the ARC of Oconee County, Inc., to visit our Friends!! There were a LOT of other Friends there, but these are the ones that were not eating at the time…Love visiting out there with these sweet folk!!”
